home poem Baptism

We then trusted you with our heart
Faith that when Homosapians fall from our expectations
True love catches us.

We made a promise
Promises echoing from incomplete beats
on our incomplete pumping hearts

Promises that we will Love
Love you, Love our friends, Love our enemies
Even Love orange American presidents

Promises on the path
learning the loving relationships
with every broken bread
with every sip of wine
My heart is yours

And with our promises we Dunk!

just as when the Comforter breathed life
into our young beating hearts
We take the plunge in front of friends and fam
and a few cellular Facebook Instagram fans

Proclaiming that we chose Love
and by His Love is how we will rise
up from this tank
with old skin washed away
we live the light
throughout our day 2 day.

We have fallen and still fall short
We have and sometimes still feel like horse vomit
Breaking promises that make us feel like an ignoramus
But we are forgiven again and again and again in Your Love.

A dedication to the words of Lenny Kravitz.
Brothers and sisters hold hands
We got to let love rule.
Let love rule
